Fluids

Milli-Buckets and Droplets

Milli-Buckets mB is the standard unit of Fluid for containers in the Forge, aka LexForge and Neo Forge ecosystems.

The Fabric counterpart is Droplets.

The table below compares the default fluid volumes for standard metal forms:

Fluid Containers

Fluids can be dumped into certain blocks that can hold them, like a Cauldron.

Not like a Slab which places the liquid in the world.

Some Mods can add their own blocks that can contain and use Fluids for certain purposes. A common one is for fluid Storage, often in the form of a Tank.

Generally, Fluids can be dumped into blocks by right-clicking with a filled Bucket. They can also be taken out of blocks by right-clicking with an empty Bucket. Not all blocks support this functionality, and could only accept specific fluids.

Items can also hold Fluids, like a bucket that could hold nine extra source blocks worth of Fluid, for example.

The same can be said for Entities.

Non-Liquids

Some Mods have custom fluid-like systems, most notably Gasses.

The functionality of Gasses in particular differs from mod-to-mod. Some can be picked up with a bucket, or flow upwards in the world.

There are other kinds of non-liquids, such as Mekanism's several of its own, known as Gas, Pigment, Infuse, and Heat, or PneumaticCraft's Air, or Botania's Mana.
